Layer1 blockchain ecosystem Injective, in collaboration with rollup provider Eclipse, has announced the launch of his first-ever Sealevel Virtual Machine (SVM) rollup for Injective’s ecosystem. The announcement was made on Friday, March 31, 2023.

The SVM system was developed with the Injective Blockchain Community (IBC) in mind. The integration with SVM will allow Solana Builders to build and deploy Solana smart contracts and dApps directly into Injective’s blockchain ecosystem, enabling Solana developers to move to “multi-chain” with their projects. increase.

Called “Cascade,” this rollup will help “unlock” the more than $9 billion Solana developer ecosystem. Dubbed “Solana’s Parallel Smart Contract Runtime,” the Solana SVM is capable of parallel processing similar to Injective’s blockchain framework and core infrastructure. This allows tens of thousands of transactions to be processed in parallel rather than individually.

On the testnet, Eclipse’s Cascade runs in an SVM sequence, receiving smart contract deployments from Solana’s command line interface (CLI) and transactions from the Solana wallet. Blocks produced by this sequencer are sent to the data availability layer. The goal of this sequence is to see Cascade in permissionless mode with Injective as the central processing layer to ensure that Sequencer executes transactions correctly. Eclipse Labs founder Neel Somani said: “SVM environments will facilitate a tremendous amount of developer activity.

The rollup is currently on Injective’s testnet, but no mainnet release date has been announced yet, although Injective promises it will be “in the near future.” Injective, on the other hand, has allowed the developer to access his official Cascade developer docs to launch his public testnet.
