Liverpool's Divock Origi celebrates his injury-time victory against Wolves.

Liverpool defeated a tenacious Wolves side 1-0 at Molineux thanks to substitute Divock Origi’s strike in the 94th minute.

Liverpool went top of the Premier League after a 1-0 win over Wolves at Molineux. Divock Origi came off the bench to score a stoppage-time goal.

Conor Coady’s incredible goal-line clearance denied Diogo Jota as Wolves defended tenaciously.

In the 94th minute, though, their resistance was shattered when Mohamed Salah set up Origi, who swiveled and turned home from close range, eliciting wild celebrations in the away end.
While Manchester City might still surpass Liverpool later in the day as a result of Chelsea’s defeat to West Ham earlier in the afternoon, this felt like a significant three points for Jurgen Klopp’s team as they came so close to being denied by Bruno Lage’s men.
