The declaration was made on Saturday in an effort to stem the spread of the infection.

Nigeria has been placed on the UK’s red list due to Omicron, a Coronavirus variation.

The UK announced the move on Saturday in an effort to stem the spread of the disease.

Sajid Javid, the Health Secretary, said on Saturday that all international arrivals to the UK will now be forced to do pre-departure COVID-19 testing.

According to Sky, UK nationals and residents would be able to enter the country from Nigeria, but they will have to pay to stay in a 10-day quarantine.

According to Javid, the change will take effect at 4:00 a.m. on Monday.

“Only South Africa has more cases linked to Omicron than Nigeria,” he said.

“There are already 27 cases in England, and that number is growing,” he added.

The sanctions are also “very regrettable” for people who have already made travel plans, according to Javid, although they would be “temporary.”

“We want to get rid of them as quickly as possible,” he said, adding that “vaccines are still our first line of defense.”
