Egbeyemi died early Saturday at the popular multi-system hospital in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti province, where she died at the age of 79.
Born in Ad Ekti on May 8, 1944, Egbeemi was a lawyer and prominent politician.
From 1992 to 1993 he served as Chairman of the Ado Ekiti Local Government Region and then from 2018 until 2022 he served as Deputy Governor of Kayode He Faemi.
The news of his sudden death was still kept secret at the time of this report, but a close associate who worked with him as one of his key officers when he was lieutenant governor of Ekiti province said he was being treated at a private hospital.Ado-Ekiti died Saturday morning.
