Pete Edochie, a renowned Nollywood actor, has lamented the loss of his grandson, Kambilichukwu.
Two months after his 16th birthday was celebrated by his parents, Yul and May Edochie, Kambilichukwu d!ed on Thursday morning, March 30.
According to the actor, who confirmed the tragic news to Vanguard, his son Yul called him on Wednesday and told him that Kambilichukwu had collapsed while playing football with his classmates and had a seizure.
He claims that the deceased was taken by ambulance to the Mother and Child Hospital in Lagos, where he passed away many hours later.
The renowned actor claimed that as soon as Yul called him on the phone to discuss the tragic event, his family immediately began praying for the child.
“Kambilinachukwu is a very calm, gifted, and intelligent youngster. He is not someone you can easily ride. No matter what the circumstance, he never loses his temper,” Edochie stated.
He might alter his demeanor, but he was undoubtedly a unique person in many ways. He had accomplished so much. My kid and I have a running joke about how I dislike it when people perform so well in everything they do. I’ve learned from experience that these people don’t stay very long. Added he.
Edochie expressed regret that his grandchild passed away when he had so much promise.
