President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has ordered the nation’s security organizations to warn Labour Party LP presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi against making incendiary remarks that could send the country into a tailspin.

To delegitimize the presidential election, he ordered the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to warn television stations against allowing Obi access.

We also ask the NBC to warn TV networks against giving Obi a platform to undermine a free and fair election after he has filed a lawsuit, the man added.

The requests were made by Tinubu in a statement released on Friday evening in Abuja and signed by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the campaign council’s director of media and publicity.

He declared: “Weeks after the election was over and a winner was declared, the lost Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi still goes around stirring up animosities and spreading misinformation as if he is still running for the highest position in the land.

“We are concerned about his recent media appearances on Arise TV and Channels TV, where he made claims regarding the election that he miserably lost that were criminally untrue, deeply misleading, and inflammatory.

“We ask the security authorities to warn him from making any more incendiary comments, especially after he declared he is contesting the election results,”in the court.

When asked about his defeat on Arise TV, he mocked the election, which many people thought was the finest in recent memory. He labeled it carelessly as ‘possibly the worst’, ‘wrong election’, ‘not God’s will’. He compared the election to “robbery” at one point.

“He also briefly donned the toga of a political scientist who was redefining democracy as the world knew it as government of the people, by the people, for the people.

“According to Obi, ‘To win in a democracy is to win the people. The declared winner, Bora Tinub, failed to win.’

“A few days later, Obi made a ridiculous claim on his Channels TV about ‘his stolen power of attorney’ and believed he won the election because some sponsored polls claimed it before the election. reflected the standpoint of the mob of his thoughtless supporters.

“We believe the allegations made by the former governor of Anambra are highly fraudulent because he failed to win the commission. He finished third and not even second, losing 2.6 million votes to president-elect Boratinub.

“From the false narrative Obi has spread, he is someone who seeks to steal Bora Tinub’s orders, shamelessly appealing to tribal and religious sentiments, and his displeasure of brazenly lying to steal what. It’s not his.

“We believe Obi’s television testimony is against the lawsuit he filed and disparages the court. Only a desperate politician like Obi would adopt his course of action:
He seeks justice in court while embarking on a mission of extortion and judicial intimidation.

“He seeks to present himself in court as a helpless and betrayed victim of a ‘system’ that has been disempowered by INEC. It seeks to position itself as a “won the nation” candidate beloved by the

“When he is able to influence judges, his antics are to have judges cancel entire elections without sufficient and substantive evidence of wrongdoing. This paves the way for a dream alliance with the PDP, the party that lost second in the new elections.

At a post-election press conference, PDP presidential candidate Atik Abubakar accused Obi of voting in the South, South and Southeast, and spoke of his willingness to join such an alliance.

“I hope the judiciary will not be fooled by Obi’s cheap tactics and will seriously consider the case at hand based on the evidence presented.

“Please remind Obi that he is welcome in court.

“Finally, I advise you to stop attacking the integrity of elections simply because Mr. Obi failed to win majority votes in 24 states and failed to enact a constitution. Stop deceiving your supporters and offering unrealistic hopes of regaining the presidency from Asiwaju Tinub.

“We also advise NBC to warn TV stations that give Obi a platform to outlaw free and fair elections after Obi files a lawsuit.”
