The base package is $8 more, while the 4K add-on is $10 more.

YouTube TV prices are rising again. Cable TV replacement service started at $35 in 2017, increased to $40 in 2018, $50 in 2019, and $65 in 2020, with recent price increases to $72.99 per month became. It’s cable TV replacement at cable TV prices.

YouTube announced on his Twitter account, “As the cost of content is rising and we continue to invest in the quality of our service, we will be adjusting our monthly fee.” Google recently signed a Sunday ticket deal for $2 billion a year. Google will likely charge individual users $300 a year for the new NFL package, but the service is pretty expensive even considering the huge annual bill.

The good news is that YouTube’s announcement isn’t just about price increases. For that $72.99/month, only HD services are available, with upgrades to 4K resolution traditionally available for $19.99/month. The 4K add-on price has been reduced to $9.99 per month. So if you subscribe to 4K all the time, your monthly bill will actually be $2 less.

YouTube TV is an alternative service to cable TV. Instead of paying Comcast, Spectrum, or cable monopolies for TV channels like CNN, MTV, and ESPN, you can pay Google instead. Instead of being restricted to an old-school cable TV box, YouTube TV allows you to receive over 100 cable channels over the internet on any device. Local channels are also available, making it a good option for cable cutters who want a TV viewing experience.

Google has been on a cost-cutting mission lately, killing many niche products, closing research departments, and putting pressure on its employees. The company has also increased prices for some subscription services. Google Workspace business account costs were up 20% earlier this week, and YouTube Premium Family plans were up 27% in October. Other subscriptions we’re looking at are the disposable YouTube Premium subscription and the monthly Google One subscription which gives users more cloud storage space. Will it all go up in price? According to Google, the price increase for new signups will take effect immediately, and existing users will see their bill change starting April 18. According to YouTube TV’s Twitter account, if you’re not happy with the price increase, you can always click here. You can cancel your account.
