Former lawmaker and social critic, Shehu Sani, lament over Peter Obi and Wike’s relationship

Shehu Sani, a former lawmaker and social critic, compared the connection between Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and the Labour Party, LP, candidate for president in the election on February 25 to that of a man who dumped his spouse and wed another woman.

According to Senator Sani, one could not be attempting to be kind in order to maintain a relationship with a woman he dumped.
On Saturday, he posted a message on his verified Twitter account that included his remarks.

Sani was alluding to the fact that Wike had backed All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate Bola Tinubu during the presidential contest and was now praising Obi in advance of the governor’s and State House of Assembly elections.

Recall that during the presidential election, some Nigerians and LP supporters believed that governor Wike had sided with Tinubu over Obi, a charge Wike has refuted.
The Rivers State Governor, on the other hand, declared Obi to be his hero of the presidential election on Saturday, asserting that Obi made sure a president-elect of Southern ancestry won.
At a town hall, he spoke to Igbo traders and asked for their support in the State’s March 18 gubernatorial election.

Sani, meantime, said Wike was making an effort to be cordial with Obi and his supporters lately after switching allegiances to Tinubu before the presidential race and supporting him.

In a tweet the law maker said “Wike and Peter;is like trying to be nice in order to continue a relationship with a lady you jilted,after marrying another.”

 

Shehu Sani is a Nigerian senator, author, playwright, and human rights advocate who was born on October 29, 1967. He is the Nigerian Civil Rights Congress’s President (CRCN). additionally the president of Hand-in-Hand, Africa. He was a key player in the fight to bring back democracy in Nigeria.
